Never trust a pear, you know this

This week I share my thoughts on the perfidiousness of pears, and an autumn salad recipe which uses up the ones still hanging around in the fruit bowl, hard and defiant. Don’t let them win.

I wanted to call this newsletter All Pears Are Bastards. I probably should have, because it’s true.  They are the most perfidious of fruit. They make avocados look well behaved, predictable.
